ENGLISH > Tricks and Myths
Various tourists who find themselves on the equatorial line begin walking on it, making a great effort to not fall off the line with a supposed loss of balance. This is another practice that at it’s foundation is another example of the power of suggestion.
Many mediocre tour guides argue that these tricks entertain the visitors. Unfortunately, the majority of these pseudo-guides present these practices as if they were reality, deceiving and taking advantage of the gullibility of the tourists. This problem is a question of the ethical principles and moral attitude of the guides. It would be acceptable to present these practices as long as they are presented with the honest explication that they are only tricks. On the other hand, there exists information that is much more interesting than these irrelevant tricks.
