Recomendations

ENGLISH

We must consider the history and culture of Ecuador sufficiently rich and interesting that it doesn’t need tricks, lies and embarrassing deception. The people who, in one way or another, give explanations about the equatorial line have the moral obligation to express trustworthy information that is worthy of our cultural heritage. We must exhibit our identity with respect and pride since this makes us worthy of our nation. The tourists who visit us deserve to be treated with respect and above all, honesty.

Demand scientific demonstrations with trustworthy information.

Do not accept tricks or deception, because the consequences are harmful to our image and our credibility. Remember that the name of our nation, Ecuador, is always at stake in this.

Denounce bad practices in tourism. Denounce informal guides who promote unfounded practices in order to take advantage of the gullibility of tourists and surprise them with sensationalism.

Inform yourself with international publications such as tourism guide books that contain up-to-date and reliable information.

Avoid information published and recommended by local public institutions such as ministries of tourism, corporations, chambers, Information offices, and informal operators and agencies. In general, this information is manipulated, out-of-date and untrustworthy.

Recommend good practices in tourism to serious tourism operators such as professional guides who in general possess a high intellectual level and are always looking for information.

Do not waste you time with sensationalistic expositions. Make a satisfactory investment with your money, not an irrelevant expense. Take advantage of your time to learn and receive constructive information. Make your visit an experience that transforms your life and the lives of others.
